TJ Blaines was born in the deep south, but lived in Baltimore and South Philadelphia before landing just outside of Washington, DC. TJ earned engineering degrees at Ole Miss and Johns Hopkins University, and worked in both the commercial and defense sectors supporting clients as diverse as NASDAQ, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and, of course, the US Navy. While young, TJ often teetered between class clown and class bookworm, and a library card was their most prized possession. They find both dogs and people enormously interesting, and writing is their passion, along with good wine and their wife's excellent food.
